Tyto Owl
Tyto owls, also known as barn owls, belong to the genus Tyto within the family Tytonidae. They are nocturnal birds of prey with sharp senses, including the ability to see well in low-light environments, along with their characteristic silent flight. These abilities make them exceptional hunters.
I've always loved Tyto owls, so the main idea for this illustration came from that passion. The original idea was to use only gouache, but as the illustration took shape, I decided to use other materials such as watercolor, watercolor pencils, and pens (ink, white, and gold)
